Does Cerenia work for car sickness in dogs?

Yes, you can give this medicine to your dog when it suffers from car sickness. Cerenia is safe and does not possess any serious threat of adverse effects on dogs. Most dog owners use this medicine to treat motion sickness in dogs. Dogs are not fond of long car rides as it causes them anxiety and stress which results in vomiting, diarrhea, and other symptoms.

Well, the tablets come with 16mg, 24mg, and 60mg variables. For each 4 kg of weight, you should give 8mg of medicine. For this, you can cut the medicine in half and serve it to your dog. It is always better to consult a vet before giving any kind of medicine to your dog and be sure of the dose to avoid an overdose of the medicine.

What side effects can my dog face after consuming Cerenia?

Side effects caused by this medicine are uncommon as most dog owners trust this medicine. Also, they have not reported any bad experiences. But, some dogs are sensitive and can suffer from side effects like vomiting, lethargy, diarrhea, loss of appetite, drooling, muscle tremors, etc. If you notice any of these symptoms take it to its vet immediately.
